Vacancy: Junior IT Field Technician

A small, well-established IT consulting company, based in Kloof, has a vacancy for a Junior IT Field Technician. The person appointed will need to have good customer service skills, be able to plan and organize their time, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must enjoy learning continuously. This position would suit someone who is happy working in a small team.

Requirements:

· Valid driver’s license essential as well as the ability to drive a manual car.

· 2+ years generalist IT Field Technician experience.

· MCP or other relevant IT qualification.

· Network Administration and Server deployment (WinServer2012/2016/2019/2022) essential

· Proficiency in hardware integration and fault diagnosis.

· Proficiency in networking principles TCP/IP.

· Knowledge of Fincon and Pastel is advantageous.

· Knowledge of Mikrotik & firewalls advantageous.

· Experience in CCTV, VOIP systems advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

· providing onsite IT consulting services to clients including diagnosing and troubleshooting problems

· providing network administration support including identifying potential IT risks and maintaining cybersecurity

· providing an IT maintenance function on a regular basis

· assisting with IT audits

· identifying new business opportunities in terms of software or hardware support.
