Legal Secretary

We are a small law firm based in Cape Town CBD seeking to employ a Legal Secretary to join our team.
Requirements:
1. Matric with tertiary qualification (Legal Secretary N4-N6 or a related National Diploma)
2. Atleast 5 years legal and/ or professional experience and au fait with legal processes;
3.. Must be able to type and do dictaphone typing;
4.. Experience with FICA requirements and legal bookkeeping software;
5. Fully computer literate, and experience with working with legal programs and online systems (Windeed, Searchworks, E4, Court Online, CaseLine, etc);
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
6. Strong writing and analytical skills.
Duties:
1. Provide secretarial and administrative support to Attorneys in conveyancing / litigation department
2. Preparation, formatting and compilation of pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, correspondences and bills of costs
3. Opening of files and debiting of fees on Lexpro
4. Schedule and set up appointments, client meetings and virtual meetings, court hearings or appearances.
5. Transcribe and proofread legal documents and pleadings
6. Type letters, affidavits, pleadings, bills of costs, legal opinions and documents
7. Complete Dictaphone typing speedily and accurately
8. Debit fees, generate or process invoices and bill clients
