Technical Sales Engineer

R15-30k Paarden Eiland We are looking for a junior person who is passionate about the engineering field- Ideally within the Marine/Mechanical industry. We will look at applicants who have engineering background and want to get into sales. To identify and execute sales of marine leisure & commercial diesel propulsion and auxiliary engines along with other related propulsion systems & marine products.


Responsibility:
Requirements: • Good communication skills (at all levels) English and Afrikaans – NON negotiable • Valid driving license • Keen interest in commercial & leisure marine industry • 3 – 5 years sales experience in marine or engineering industry Duties to include but not limited to: • Establishing good customer / supplier relationships • Visit customers (shipyards, ship owners, design consultants, private buyers etc.) & local agents to discuss opportunities, possible orders, delivery conditions, product quality and requirements with regard to future developments • Handling enquiries, quotes • Maintaining contacts with his/her colleagues for orders, delivery terms, complaints, orders • After sales and technical & warranty support • Managing and investigating complaints • Compiling sales forecasts and order reports • Assisting Management with ad hoc project, advertising plans & Sales Marketing plans for specific products, regions & customer types • Participates in other sales activities - boat shows, trade shows & other marine exhibitions • Identify & pursue representation for other products to increase sales & compliment the product portfolio • Assist Management in growing the dealer network
