1959 MERCEDES BENZ 190SL Cabriolet in RHD

There are forms that cannot be improved ! The Mercedes Benz 190SL Roadster (W121 B 11) is undoubtably one of those designs whose perfect proportions continue to inspire even half a century after its production ended. Between 1955 and 1963 this model was considered THE Daimler Benz sports cars whose ownership included film stars and other high profile people.
Optionally the 190SL was also available as a coupe, with removable hard top. As the little brother to the far more expensive Mercedes Benz 300SL it still had the elegance and styling of its bigger brother.
Enjoyable driving and a sense of freedom: the additional designation “SL” = “Sport light” does credit to the intended driving experience. With its 1.9 litre 4 cylinder, engine the driving performance of the “touring sports car” is perfectly tuned for its purposes.

Our car, a cabriolet, in RHD of which approximately only 562 were built, only 25 881 were built in total, and is a matching numbers car.
This car has had a nut and bolt restoration done a number of years ago by a well known Mercedes Benz collector here in South Africa. Presented here in this Mercedes Benz color of light Grey with a lovely red interior and red soft top, this is an exceptional car to own, whether you are a collector looking for an appreciating asset or someone who would like to own a car like this to enjoy on a weekend or holiday somewhere in the country.
